There are theme parks located on Sentosa Island. There is the Surrender Chamber showcasing the fall of Singapore during WW2. There is the Butterfly Park, Underwater World, etc In the future, there will be much more as Universal Studio will be in town then, 5 years later, hopefully.
As for Phuket, there are a number of theme parks too. There is Fantasea Phuket with French style moulin rouge dancing Thai style, Simon Cabaret, Seashell Museum, and others. You can check http://www.tourismthailand.org for details.

The Escape Theme Park and Wild Wild Wet are situated side by side in NTUC Downtown East, Pasir Ris, Singapore.
The Escape theme park will offer thrill and kiddy rides. Wild Wild Wet is a water theme park (Watch out for that bikini!)
To reach the above place, hop on any taxis and tell them "NTUC Downtown East". http://www.downtowneast.com.sg/theme/
Slightly down to road into town, you will see East Coast Park and the stretch of beach. It is well equipped with food establishments and bicycle and roller blades kiosks. There is also an artificial water skiing facility in one of the ponds using overhead cables. http://www.ski360degree.com
In the southern part of Singapore lies Sentosa Island. Though going through a massive development construction for the new Integrated Resorts (ready year 2011), it is still a "must" place to go. http://www.sentosa.com.sg

There is such a place in Singapore called "Sentosa Island" where one can have great fun all day long. There is also a place in Phuket but can't remember the name right now.. They have shows etc in this one...
