I am traveling for the first time to phuket, I would like to know which places to go for beers or for partying purpose? I have a company of girls with us, so would like to know few places where it would good for couple of beers or partying?

Head over to Bangla Road. That's where everyone goes for all types of places to party. Don't worry if you're traveling with ladies as the establishments (including go go bars) there welcome all genders with open arms.

Patong is the place to go for partying. As Madonna said, there's places to party everywhere in Phuket, but Patong is one giant bar and party scene at night. Soi Bangla is particularly good for single guys and people watching, but has bars suitable for couples as well. The beach rd. south of Bangla has some good discos and pubs as well. You won't have any problem finding good places to party.
There are uncountable bars on Phuket and believe me, all of them serve beer. You didn't mention where you'll go over here but it doesn't really matter. Just walk into a Bar/Pub where the Music/Interior fancies you and have a jolly good time.
Go to Safari, its up in the hills and open very late, it's brilliant.
